Midwest Deer Works - Taxidermists

Hunting, Fishing and trapping were my main interests as a youngster growing up in the small Midwest town of Rossville Kansas. I was also blessed with some artistic talent which came in handy when I started doing taxidermy at the ripe old age of 11. What had to be the biggest blessing I had back then was understanding parents! I don't know how my mom put up with the dead stuff in our freezer! I think I practiced mounting just about everything my hunting buddies and I could catch or shoot and by the age of 14 I was licensed as a business. I took extra art classes in High School and taxidermy was always my summer job. I was an art major at Bethany College and at Kansas State University until Taxidermy became a full time job for me and still is today. Running a full service take anything shop gradually has narrowed down to what we do today--Deer taxidermy, antler repair, and antler reproductions!
