Big Lake Guide Service offers duck hunters exceptional old time southern duck hunts in Cameron Parish. Our blinds are located in a fresh water marsh adjacent to the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge. We have numerous species of ducks including, redheads, ringnecks, canvasbacks, gadwalls, widgeons, pintails, mallards and teal; mallards and teal being the species most frequently bagged. We fish the inland salt waters of Calcasieu Lake and surrounding marshes for trout, reds, and flounder. In the Gulf and along our many miles of beaches, you will find many species of fish. Lots of speckled trout and Bull reds on the beach; triple tail, Spanish mackerel, cobia and many other species are located at the close oil rigs, just offshore. When booking your fishing or hunting adventure, do inquire about our accommodations. The camp's are fully furnished with all the comforts of home. Upon request we will also serve up some mouth-watering cajun cuisine.
